QuEChERS方法是2003年由美國農業部的化學家Anastassiades和Lehotay等研究建立的一種能有效分離水果、蔬菜中痕量農殘的樣品前處理技術。Anastassiades曾在采訪中說道：“ In this regard, the $5000 chopper used for sample comminution is more important than the $300000+ worth of LC–MS and GC–MS instruments used for analyses.”他表示，對于QuEChERS來說，一臺好的研磨機的價值遠高于30萬美元的LC-MS/GC-MS。
